Oyster Stew

placeholder

This is a family treasure. Handed down from my great-grandmother, we had this every Christmas. Bonus is that it’s easy to make and still rich in flavor. My mom served with garlic bread but eat alone for a low carb version.

Ingredients

1 can whole Oysters, 8 oz packed in water
1 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbl Butter
1 Can Evaporated milk
Salt
Pepper

Instructions

Drain oyster juice into a pot, bring to a boil and reduce down to half. Add Worcestershire sauce, butter, and canned milk. Stir and add in oysters. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring barely to a boil and remove from heat. Goes well with a white wine like a chardonnay.
